Buy Local. BLD reflects our vision of an Adirondack clothing company: located in the community, employing people in the community, and contributing to the community. To reduce our carbon footprint, we use American-grown or fair trade imported organic cotton for our clothing, which are manufactured in New York and Pennsylvania, and use environmentally-friendly water-based, pigmented inks. We are based in Saranac Lake, NY. The Paddling capital of the Adirondacks.
Blue Line Design & Apparel is the fresh line on a weathered map.
Many outdoor brands express an extreme attitude about the wilderness with overhyped marketing campaigns for their products. You won’t find that here. BLD takes a more laid back approach to the wild.
We donate 1% of our revenue to non-profit organizations that support the Adirondack Park. Established in 1892 by the state of New York, the Adirondack Park is larger than Yosemite, Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Canyon, and the Great Smokies national Parks combined. The boundary of the Park is defined by a blue line, which is found on both modern maps and historical records.
